Hello to all.

I am new to the forum and after several years of being a LR fan and owner i have finally upgraded to a 2007 Range Rover.
I like to keep my cars in good order and often find that owner forums are the best place to keep informed so i hope to continue with this.

The car is in good condition with 70k on the clock. I have been reading that a flush of the transmission has been recommended by many owners despite LR saying that the sealed unit is good for life. The process i have seen mentioned a lot is called a Megaflush. The theory behind it seems very good but when i looked into having this done i have failed to find anywhere local (London) that offers the service.

Are any of you aware of a place that offers this service. I am based in Croydon so south London is preferred but i am happy to travel for a decent service.

How many of you have had this procedure carried out on your cars, is it a good idea and what should i expect to pay.

Challenger 4x4 in Surrey are a respected garage. There's a Land Rover garage in Peasmarsh but they've recently been taken over by Hunters so no idea what they're like now. I seem to remember members here recommend Lookers in Park Royal as well.

No idea on cost but I did mine myself and the oil isn't cheap, you need an absolute minimum of about 14 litres for a double flush and the cheapest I've seen is Island 4x4 at about £12 per litre. Takes a couple of hours I would think if you know what you're doing and have the kit. Ed
