OK, popped down to pick-up the wipers, front and rear.
Even got them fitted FOC 'all part of the service' - noticed that the replacement rear is slightly longer than the old one - have the bill with LR part no's on so.
Foloowed by a "anything else i can check or do for you sir".

The auto factors one (bosch) were shorter [RRS] and a different fitting.

I would be interested. Tried to fit flat blades by modifying the arms and blades but without proper facilities you can not get a good fixing.

Dan I am sure you mentioned the winter blades sometime in the past, did you ever try them?

I was asking about the Jager engineering ones and after mixed response and a lukewarm attitude from Jager I got a set- wouldn't bother to be honest. I'm still trying to find wipers that fit the blocks properly- the Bosch ones they mention are US only and Jager wanted £25 shipping. Also the blocks don't look "CNC" machined, more like they were bitten out of acrylic then sanded to shape with a brick.

I'm going to find wiper arms with a widely available fitting which are a decent construction and then weld them to the right length/angle onto the LR boss. Then should be able to just buy replacement VAG or similar.

By all means try Jager but caveat emptor.

Some pictures, excuse the crappy quality it's lashing down here.

Another point- they skip quite a bit and take a while to tweak. And look very home made from inside the car.

Ok so jags are a ball ache an not that good. Could you take them off the car an take some good quality pics along with measurements? If you could i will try an get some adapters machined to suite a good blade avalible over here. If it works get a load done? Might take longer than buying them jag but hopefully be better.

Don't see why not- well volunteered. Thumbs Up

I'll strip them down today or tomorrow and get some pics uploaded.

Still thinking more about proper wiper arms as they FFRR one are made from the same quality stuff they use for kit kat wrappers.

You sound like you know what you're doing so I'll get you decent pictures and you can go from there

Cheers Thumbs Up

My dad has a disco2 and they use the same stupid wipers as us. He's Censored off. He's got the engineering contacts. His main point of contact will be his mate who owns camel laids shipyard, he's a landy nut and races them so will want a set for himself. A wiper arm would be the best option as we wouldn't need adapter etc it's just finding one that will fit. I will leave that one to you.
