Alarm trouble!

Hello everyone, I'm new here, I have had my 2004 4.4 for a week or so now. I love it but have 1 problem. The alarm sounds every few days (nights!) randomly. I have done a search on here and have unplugged the bonnet switch but unfortunately the problem continues. Is there any reason why I cant unplug the Volumetric sensor and the tilt sensor and try it like that?

I'm not bothered about having a alarm, but Id like the remote locking etc to work correctly.

Thankyou

I was going to do this, but was worried the hazards would still flash? Or does the sounder control them too?? Idea

No, not at all actually! I see that's a common trouble too! Laughing

I don't stand and watch it but I'm pretty sure removing it just stops the alarm trying to go off... give it a go and see... Thumbs Up Pete

May not be the same thing, but ours had similar symptoms in that the alarm would not go off but the hazard lights would flash randomly, we had a new remote key coded and since then all has been well.

The keys are quite new on mine so I think they're ok, I had wondered if it could be one of the door switches, but I don't get warnings flick on in the car as I'm driving saying that anything is open so I had kind of ruled them out... but I may be wrong! I shall disconnect the sounder and see how we go Thumbs Up
