Just thought, it might be nice to have a "good" list and also an "avoid" list.

One for avoid would be The Hop Farm in Kent. We stayed there for 2 nights a few years back. The reception is in a portakabin and aside from it missing the "Benefits Office" sign we might as well have been in one. Dreadful and loads of pikey looking sorts with Transit vans and Hobby caravans.

We'll be trying Tissington. Love that village having been round the hall and generally walking in the area. Thumbs Up

So, good =
Lincoln Farm Park
Hillhead - South Devon coast
Moreton in the Marsh.
Warren-Farm Brean Sands
Llandegla Fisheries
Blackmoor
Cheshire Oaks
Swiss Farm
Black Knowl
Tissington

No so good=
The Hop Farm.

Stick with it NMJ. We used to go away every other weekend when the kids were younger. then they became young teenagers and caravaning took a back seat as they simply didn't want to come but they were too young to leave at home. Exactly the same with the friends we used to go with (their two lads are the same age as ours).
Now the lads are 18 and 16 and we are going more on our own as four adults and two caravans but the kids still come on occasion - now the older ones drives themselves and their brothers or girlfriends etc. How times have changed!!!

Anyway - so glad we dd not succumb to the temptation of selling the van that would have been a big mistake in hindsight.

Spend a lot of weekends in Cirencester / Malvern or Broadway as they are all local - easy and relaxing.

Still say Cheshire Oaks is worth a visit with a day out in Chester or Liverpool. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Highfield Farm Touring Park in Comberton, near Cambridge is very pleasant. It is a quiet, family run site and the fields are quite large with caravans around the perimeter. It closes for winter though.

Nearby attractions are Cambridge, Ely, Duxford Imperial War Museum, Wimpole Hall, Anglesey Abbey etc.

I run my own caravan dealership about 2 miles away (used caravans only).

Obviously if anyone on here needs any help or advice regarding their caravan, feel free to ask. Thumbs Up

Try Broadings Farm camp site in Whitby. We have stayed there during CCC rallies a number of times recently but the rest of the site looks good. Easy to get to, nice views across the bay to the Abbey ruins and a very good restaurant 10 mins walk away - not to mention that Whitby has the best chippies in the world. QUID FACIUM TIBI

Gave the Fattie a run up into the dales today and charged it up Rolling Eyes as it has been sat for a week or so and charged me up with a good walk around Balsow. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Now there's an idea, done north wales loads over the years but never ventured west of Cardiff in the south. Pembroke and the Gower are a good call. Will look into that for the spring! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
