Many thanks for the hints/talk through....purchased & modified mine on Friday and it works a dream (sadly the guy on fleabay no longer has the tools to go with the jack) The 16mm HSS drill bit was expensive at £12, but did the job perfectly. Current RR L322 TDV8 VOGUE

I would say no as the arms aren't designed to take high loading in that direction.

IIRC, In the manual, its explicitly stated thats not to be used as a jacking point.

As berkshirelad says, they are not designed to take loads in that direction. The weight of the FF is taken on the air suspension system and those arms are only designed for steering geometry etc. Although people do jack vehicles up in some seemingly convenient places this would be a point load of at least a tonne on that arm. Can't see how its more convenient than the proper jacking points. If the jack is too short, support it on a sleeper or something solid. Jacking on the arms is a hazardous operation and result in the jack slipping

Ahh, so your not after a pre-modified jack, you want a completely modified without the messy bit Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

On some jacks all you have to do is drift a pin out and change the top for a Mini one from ebay , or as in my case it was a different type and I had to cut the lugs off which took four disks on the Grindet and about half an hour to get the shape just right . 2008 MY Supercharged
