F''K sake Mick you are an eeejit, a car for an 18 year old!! get what they can afford!! Otherwise IMHO a mini but I would be an old git, maybe a Fiat 500 but I am an old git, f==k knows , buy one themselves thats my view, if they havent got a job get the bus/train like we did. bloody kids, do my f99/in head in |

Drive the deal are offering the Polo DSG Match 3 door for £12,339, which includes a £1400 contribution for their 6.7% finance. It's £13,739 without finance. The Fabia SE 1.2 DSG actually works out more expensive with them but does offer 0% apr finance. Polo will likely hold it's value a little better |

The fabia S is cheaper, by a fair margin, but you don't get aircon.

Now now Ross , back in my day it would have been the bus but the worlds a different place now , I would rather she got herself home in one piece rather than have to wait for a bus and then 2 trains at different train stations from University as there are more foreigners on the transport system than locals , especially from Paisley ... 😜😜 ...

If you are thinking Korean have a look at the Hyundai i20 too. Pretty much the same car. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

We don't get much in the way of good, SMALL cars here. What about a Golf or Polo? (Never actually seen a Polo for real, but it sounds like a small Golf.) |

!8 year old girl? Fiat 500 or VW UP!, both available with insurance-friendly little engines. My 17 year old son doesn't want one because they're too "girly", so they must be OK for her!

Fiat 500 was a good choice for my 17yr old this year Mick... She got a second hand 2010 Lounge model, so leather, ac, pan roof, hifi etc etc etc. After passing her test the insurance was nice and low too as its the first era of the “safe impact cars”

Can you not simply have a big bow or something delivered to the house with a card in it giving your intent to buy her a car that she'll like?
