Hello from Essex

Hello from sunny Essex. Brilliant forum just like the Defender2 version.
I have had my Vogue TD6 for a month or so now. Also had a Defender TD5 up to about a month ago which the other half said i needed to sell as we do not need 2 big cars Big Cry
Obviously the RR is a different beast to the Defender which I really miss but the missus loves the RR and I must say I have an increasing soft spot for it as well. Took it off road recently and it is very impressive on even Pirrelli Scorpions. It is an 05 plate car so is one of the BMW/Ford 'bitsas'. It's in a nice shade of Epsom (i think) green with creme leather and 19" wheels. It has also only done 42000 miles.
I am an development engineer for a major vehicle manufacturer and was involved in early test work on both the Lion V6 and V8's. in a previous life was a master tech at Ford and also served my apprenticeship many moons ago on LR products and trucks and my first car was an 88" series 3! I do all my spannering.
Got a few things to do on it. Bought myself an Iid BT tool which is a brilliant piece of kit. Just rebuilt the compressor and new front lower arms. Done a full service and gearbox oil and filter change.
Got a bit of tailgate rust to sort Neutral which i'm hoping I will be able to get an outer skin for.
Car is a bit dirty in this pic! Freelander in the background is a neighbours which i have just done a headgasket on.

Welcome! Lots of us around you, I'm just across the border in Hertfordshire. I also have a Series 3, not the best buy I ever made though!

Thanks for the warm welcome. A V8 petrol would have been lovely but as the missus mostly uses it probably would have been wasted on her 😜 Unfortunately it seems that over the past couple of days it has started to hold onto 4/5th when decelerating....😳
Mr Spock i would love another series 3 but with a V8 this time as a high days and weekend mobile! One day...
