LOL, my Butt probably is, well according to SWMBO. Laughing

Jetwashing is all about pressure and flow rate though, and the more it can produce the wider the nozzle you can use to get the same result. Wider nozzle means more area covered. Feeding a large PW with a smaller one would limit the large machine to the flow rate of the small one.

One of the reasons I went over to a water butt was that our mains water delivery is low due to lead mains. Whenever someone flushed the bog it would starve the PW of supply and make it vibrate, i.e. the pump was cavitating. Using a water butt with a 3/4" hose instead of a 1/2" one cured that and gave it more delivery at the nozzle.

Using a smaller one to boost a bigger one won't restrict it, it's the end nozzle that does the restricting, your smaller pump, will build a small amount of pressure, but feed in fine, the big pump, will boost the incoming pressure, and as long as there's a restriction, on the end lance, your spray will be better. You can see this if you hold it in the air, the tiny amount of water, that is being used.
