Guys I've noticed a problem with this retrofit - the auto levelling headlights don't seem to work... Then looking at the pinout on page one there are no connections for a signal like this just power for main and dip and ground - anyone got round this? Is this legal?

They won't work. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Is that an mot failure I thought they had to have headlight washers and auto level?

Bit late to worry now it's all done just so I can prepare lol

Never had an MOT tester load the boot with half a ton to check if the self levelling headlights work so don't lose any sleep over it  Pete

You have EAS so as far as an MOT is concerned thats self levelling

Hi to all.Thanks to this amazing step by step guide i have managed to facelift my td6 but without touching the headlights water pump/water reservoir tank.By reading the new posts found quite interesting the idea of just replacing,if possible,only the headlights pump instead of the all water tank/3 pumps.
After a search bmw x5 2000-2005 headlight high pressure pump seems to be quite similar,according to the attached photo,with RR low pressure pump.
Unfo i compared pumps similarity only thru photos i found in internet so wondering if any chance to have a positive or negative feedback as to whether can be fitted or not

Right two things I need to raise - firstly this high pressure water pump...

I got another one through last week as mentioned - swapped it out and it's still not working... Something isn't making sense though - it pumps on the BMWs through the same style high pressure jets, it Infact has a larger bore output so have made the pipe fit. If I drop the pipe below the pump what comes out, and when I squirt it I can hear the pump making the noise ... I'm sure I'm missing something here... If anyone has any ideas great if not it's staying as it is for another 11months as that's when my mot is 😉

Second point - I meant to say earlier those cheap pdc sensors I pointed out on eBay came through stamped valeo (maybe fake?) but for £25 came with the rubber rings and work perfectly if you want to save a few quid there...

I'm now done with face lifting although still toying with the rear bumper... Next is to sort my driver seats out !

Have you crossed over the 2 wires from the old LH side headlight washer connector wire?

If so the pump will only work when the headlights are on and only every 5 wipes aspect the owners manual

Hi Matt - so I was meant to do something with the wires that went to the headlight wiper unit? I just unplugged and left that - I literally unplugged the old unit plugged new one in and hoped for the best - so what do I need to do? Cheers!
