Currently (well the last month or so), chain saw, socket set, sledge hammer, hi lift, bottle jack, machete, hammers, pliers, trolley jack, breaker bars, impact hammer, coolant, strops, ropes, tow ropes.

But then I have been back and forth to Wales each weekend for fence building. Ed

For me, the power pack has appeal. No doubt should I ever need to use jump leads, it will be on a cold wet night with no other cars around.

The idea of the Anderson connector is new, and I’ll certainly be looking on eBay for something suitable. Can ask a follow up question as to where is the optimum point to connect the positive connection lead to the battery?. I have read about the explosive charge which is discouraging me from poking around that area.

The Sprinter jack can be next week’s project.

Finally I have just remembered that senior management is a member of the AA, so as long as she is with me in the car I guess breakdown cover can accessed 

Many thanks.

Mike

Mike, if you wish to carry/purchase a jump pack? Buy one that stays on charge from the 12v cig lighter in your boot. Im 99% sure the 07TDV8 boot cig lighter is ign controlled (if not its really easy to convert it to ign fed) that way, when your driving it stays permanently topped up... Thumbs Up
Secondly & very important! If you do find the need to use the jump pack? Connect to your car, turn on pack & WALK AWAY for 10 - 15 mins and let it trickle charge your battery before you attempt to start your car sir... Thumbs Up

The boot socket in my 07TDV8 is permanently on so would need changing over to ignition feed for this scenario. Ed
