Stan did you just change that message as my email said something different - yes exactly that and some led fogs I put in - only WAy I can think of doing it it to run a relay with an ignition live trigger to send 12v to everything but not sure how Lcm would react to 12v on something it didn't send?

I fitted DRLs into my headlights, after them being branded as Harry Potter scars I swapped them for a wigly line. Anyway, back to the point, Very cheap to get a dedicated DRL controller. These combine a relay and voltage sensing so they come on once the engine is running and go off 10 secs after engine off. Depending on local regs there is also a connection to the headlamp + feed which dims the DRLs when headlights are on.. Cheap as chips..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Daytime-Runn...SwGYVW8m8a 2007 TDV8 VSE

The unit connects to the battery + and senses when the voltage exceeds 13.7v, thats when the cars running and switches on the DRLs, stay away from the lcm and headlight + 2007 TDV8 VSE

So would you disconnect the sidelights entirely and just wore them as drl so effective have the switch as headlight on and off? Only problem is that I would get bulb faults?

I am a bit confused as to what you are trying to do. My understanding is you have swapped headlights with no DRL with Headlghts With DRL. If thats the case then I would have thought you only then need to connect the new drls via a relay of sorts. No idea if thats not the case. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Hi basically on the >10 I believe the sidelights are the drl so the leds in the rings - at the moment I have to turn sidelights on to use them. I think the easiest thing would be to somehow trigger the sidelight at the switch from ignition if that's possible?

Right inadvertently resolved this - got an intravee todAy and I thought it was just an iPod adapter ... Oh no it's not you can chose to have drl and which lights individually you want - I have set my front fogs and halos and it's just the job I'm really chuffed! Also I have set it to Powerfold mirrors on lock and unfold on unlock. I the. Turned on something which was definately not an option at our age vehicle - triple turn activation if you catch the indicator it will indicate three times like newer vehicles! Finally I set the map to auto zoom in and out. It also has pdc display etc.

Not bad for what i thought was just an MP3 adapter - and that's good too - it puts the info on the cluster and the nav if you want which is great!

If you want one they are on offer until midnight £99 plus vat at toysinmycar.com highly recommended!

Hey Dan, did you post a video with the intrave on youtube by any chance? I Think I might have stumbled across it after looking up intrave ahaha. How is that system working? From what I understood so far, it is an ipod kit, but it also allows you to changing which lights come on? So if the vehicle is set into drive, you can choose to turn off the high beam acting as a DRL and use the LED Halo's as the DRL?
