Cut out split section with hacksaw and 'splint' with a scrounged section of exhaust pipe and X2 jubilee clips. Brought me back from Calabria to Devon no problems and no reduced speed!

That's what happened to us with the tin tent down Cornwall. No real loss of power, but blotted everyone out at the rear.

tape will work fine and dandy, duct tape, will be ok, the pipe repair tape is best though as it has some self amalgamating tape in the kit.

Norauto is similar to Halfords. Any quincaillerie (hardware shop) or supermarket will have duct tape. John

I’ve ended up cleaning the inside of the split, and superglue, left over night and now 3-0 miles later still going? I really should get it fixed proper, that being said anybody know where the end goes at the bottom of the top hose on a tdv6? |
