OK, seems like we're off with the Tintent in 2 weeks. That leaves me with a small issue of the new ride not coming with a towbar. Dealer won't throw one in as I drove him hard on the deal anyway. Apparently it's gonna cost me £1080. Yeah, right.

So, do Westfalia still make the genuine LR item? I note the one on LR-Parts has options for under-tray cover thingies which P F Jones don't seem to list. Jones's are 200 quid cheaper than LR Parts so I would rather get that and then buy the tray covers from LR if necessary. Oh, I am looking at the removable unit, not the electric one and not the multi-height one.

Also, do the electrics have to be enabled via diagnostics?

Cheers, I saw that. What isn't clear is the under tray cover things which are available from LR Parts.

What I think is that these are just cut versions of the original which allows the armature to show through without removing the cover??

Looks like a tow eye cover, an undertray, some foam mounts and the towbar kit itself. Incidentally they quote this as the multi-height towbar but the image shows the removable one.

Yes, thanks for that. So it looks like those 2 covers replace what's already there but they are cut away to allow the towbar to poke through. If I order those 2 with the P F Jones item I should be fine.

I think I'll get genuine LR electrics, just a case of how to get then enabled on the car now.

Get the dealer to throw the programming in😜 when you have had the stuff fitted. It's 5 mins, and won't cost them anything as it's just programming. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Presumably there should be somewhere they can cable tie the socket behind the plastic cover you're going to replace.
