Painting calipers.

I am toying with the idea of having my brake calipers painted red. Do you good people think t would be,

A. A good idea.
B. A good idea in a different colour, or
C. Leave well alone.

do them silver or grey with smooth hammerite , even if its just to stop future corrosion, also do the parts of the discs that don't get padded , again to stop corrosion , it can look so nasty behind an expensive alloy.

I did mine with hammerite about 4k miles ago and they still look new , the heat has not affected the paint at all

Whatever colour you do them, take his advice Thumbs Up

I painted my calipers with Hammerite smooth, and the discs with Halfords VHT spray paint
Discs now won't corrode, and leaves a decent finish on the calipers

Personal choice, I am not sure its suits a RR. I have one with red calipers in stock...

Bit of overspray from the VHT spray paint. It all wore off just fine. That pic was taken after half a mile to make sure they worked Laughing

Am I the only one that thinks brake calipers painted in bright colours look gaudy?
To me they just seem to detract from the appearance of the wheels and car generally.
Satin black to me more than sufficient.
