Help wanted
I have complete shutdown on special programs and suspension height and stability control , by that I mean I can't clear the faults even after a battery reset . My iiD shows terrain response has lost connection to five control modules , engine , gearbox , differential ,rear differential and more and another fault showing is two faults in the rear differential which are clutch actuator stuck and clutch position lost .
Battery is good and had an overnight charge on my monster battery conditioner .I suspect I need a new diff but why the ECU cascade and refusal to clear ?

In a D3 or D4 I would suspect the transfer case ecu either having been drowned or at least with corroded contacts. The TC ecu is a gateway in the high speed canbus so if it fails than the modules either side can't communicate. I expect the L322 is the same but don't have a L322 canbus device layout schematic to confirm.

The diff problems may be just cascaded faults but if not then likely to only require a calibration so talk to Gap about their latest beta version which I understand to have this capability if needed.

Are you able to check the transfer case module for faults?

Yes I can see the transfer case in my list of faults it comes up just like all the others saying communication has been lost and won't clear , i'm running the Beta in my iiD so maybe I can do some interrogating later trouble is I had a new knee two weeks ago and I can't get about much but I'll do anything to keep it out of the local drugs importer/dealer's hands . I wonder what question I should actually ask GAP? 2008 MY Supercharged

Is there anything to indicate that the transfer case module is operating, eg that the high range LED is on or can you select low range? However it may not allow a range change if it can't see the speed messages on the canbus to know that the vehicle isn't travelling too fast.

I understand that the rear diff check/calibrate function is available in the beta version. The transfer case calibration procedure is in 3.5 Calibrations (3.5.4 V3.00) so perhaps the rear diff is there somewhere too.

OK, so the module isn't dead, not completely anyway.

I suggest that it be removed to clean its contacts but I don't know where it is. On D3 its behind the battery, on D4s it's on the other side near the brake m/c but it should be somewhere around the front near the engine and ABS ecu/modulator.

You might try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds if not already done.

Back to your first post, the refusal to clear will be because the fault condition still exists.

Does the raise switch work? TR itself can have a fault that could prevent it from communicating with all the required systems rather than there be a break in the can-bus, but in that situation all the other systems including the suspension should still work.

Transfer case ECU is behind the battery (well on the older models). Have a look, you should see a black plastic box, roughly the size of a box of Milk Tray (sorry, best I could do ) .

Considering the ecus listed with which contact has been lost, it's possible that canbus wires have been compromised. Loosing the TCCU gateway would not prevent TR from communicating with the suspension ecu or the rear diff ecu as they're all on the one side of the TCCU, with only the engine, ABS and gearbox on the other side.

There's a wiring loom in the vicinity of the rear of the right rear seat that can work its way under the support at the rear of the seat, which causes various faults depending on which wires get crushed. The rear diff ecu is on the left side, with its wires running in that bundle. Has anyone been sitting in the right rear seat recently?

These are the actual fault , the two for the rear differential have happened before so I am thinking ECU problem but where?
