Was the car running when it happened or parked? A rat chewed one of mine's MAP sensor wires overnight which triggered restricted performance, but easily fixed. |

I was sat waiting to pick the girls up at school and got bored and cycled through the programs and heights ironically just to check it all works , later my wife borrows the car and all the warnings come on and the car tells her to stop slowly .And just took it out so a trial , No ABS either . 2008 MY Supercharged

As it appears that the fault must have been diagnosed as a failed e-diff actuator motor, you might like to know that it's the same motor as fitted to all other LR e-diffs (D3/D4/RRS) so a used one at an appropriate price might be worthwhile. |

Thanks for that , I have already had a look but found nothing yet and with my present mobility problem I'm probably going to bite bullet and get the stealers to fit a new one , I am also a bit weary of refurbished solenoids if they are so famously grumpy in the first place .

I would not expect to find a refurbished motor, only straight out of a wreck, but in removing the motor the diff is no longer complete so the price is usually 2/3rds or more of a new one. Since a used one could fail the same way that your's has, it's debatable if a used one would ever be good enough value.

The independent route would have been my preference and Dan has given me a good price trouble is I don't know an independent who could tackle the coding and calibration but I could do it with Gap's help and although they are very keen to give it a go I'm still recovering from my knee replacement so Barbagallo get a contribution the their marching powder fund and I get my car back fixed on monday .I have asked for the old unit back so I can look into refurbing it myself but they are already stalling on that saying it is in the bin already , I suspect they want to claim a surcharge back for themselves . 2008 MY Supercharged
