It appears that LTB00054 is not the correct bulletin because that number is for D3 headlight condensation and therefore probably best not to quote that number to a dealer. V2 is just an updated release of the original bulletin, not of a different topic.

Had the recall done today as well as the TSB update and a 4 wheel align. The gearbox is much better now, much more eager to change gear and smoother Bow down
Well worth doing Thumbs Up

I have had this done too and there is a very marked improvement.

Much smoother pick up at low speed - where I used to be able to get a big hesitation if i lifted off at slow speed then tried to accelerate - like approaching a roundabout, also the adaptive cruise could trigger said hesitation at speed too but that seems to have improved a lot too.

Pleasantly surprised. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

Still considering a gearbox oil change even though it no longer feels necessary. It has done 90k on what I am guessing is the original oil. If that improves it even more I will be a happy bunny. May be early days but since picking it up the mpg has improved slightly too Thumbs Up

I know the oil is more expensive on the 8 speed and it cannot be flushed like the 6 speed due to a built in thermostat that isolates the oil cooler until operating temperature so it's just a case of changing what you can in the box (probably about 50% of the total capacity) but at least some of the oil will be new?

Anyone any idea on costs for oil change? Paul
