Adaptive headlights

Could I just ask fellow forum members, who have a 2011, with adaptive headlights to check out the start up symbol that shows briefly at ignition. I was told that if it stays on, there is a fault with system. But I note that Stan pointed out in an old post, that if it briefly illuminates orange, there could be a fault. I'm not convinced my adaptive lights are working.
My symbol illuminates briefly orange.
Those with working adaptive lights, does yours illuminate orange or another colour?
One more point, does the light switch need to be in the auto mode for the adaptive lights to work?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for that Stan, I've seen that already. My adaptive syble comes on briefly coloured orange at Ignition, I just wondered if that is correct.

That's what my 2011 S/C does and they are working fine.

As far as the AUTO position goes, the only thing I found was that high beam assist doesn't work unless it's in the AUTO position.

I haven't seen any indication that mine are working but no fault symbol either. How obvious are they? I see the corner lights when they're on.

Mine comes on everytime I turn the ignition on as with the other warning lights. Mine has come back on afew times but turn ignition off and on again and it sorts itself out.

Easy to test at night, low speed and turn the steering wheel and see if the curb will light up etc...

cheers Alex

Thanks Alex. However mine's corner lights switch on and light-up the kerb whereas the headlights appear to stay straight ahead.

I finally confirmed that mine are indeed working, having tracked the apex of the cut-off point while wriggling the steering wheel back and forth a little in a dark area.
