Recommended waxoyl alternative.

Hi all , can anybody recommended /give experience of using an underbody wax? Thinking waxoyl is a bit dated now.Looked at Bilt Hamber dynax s50 or Dinitrol 3125. Any thoughts please .Thanks Ray

These guys still like to use waxoyl

I would too, but I guess the others do much the same. The effort is in the preparation of surfaces and application to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Perhaps consider stone chip and paint on more exposed surfaces, i have done this to the underside of my MG with great results, and waxoyled all the cavities and seams. .

Thanks for your reply Joe.The independent L /R garage I use,do a waxoyl service and I trust them totally .I 've used waxoyl myself on classic cars.I was wondering if anyone had experience of the other products available.I wish I could do the job myself but I've had ops on my spine. Rolling Eyes

Waxoyl is very old technology, they haven't done anything to update it in years, it works OK but there are now others that work so much better...

IMHO Dinitrol is the best I have tried, it covers so much better than waxoyl and as it is so thin it is much easier to get good coverage in box sections etc, when using it it leaks out of far more places than waxoyl does which makes me think it gets to more places to start with....

I used ML for the box sections...

Just done mine with Dynax , I'll report the results in 10 years !!, Having used other products from this company for over 10 years they seem to produce good gear and as with dinitrol it's a lot runnier (especially the cavity stuff) so sprays better and should creep into nooks n crannies better , not cheap though but neither is a RR
