Suspension height help needed, bit urgent, panicking!

Chaps, am in a bit of a flap. Apologies for not being around much, work has been silly plus heavily involved in a defender re-shell with a pal. Full Fat has been behaving itself, ish. Have done discs and pads and all front arms and drop links in the last cpl of weeks, don't really want to talk about the faulty alternator that we had to replace after 20 days Big Cry
Supposed to be inside the eurotunnel right at this moment, however had to cancel and rebook for tomorrow as I have re-blown the tendon in my elbow so in hospital tomorrow morning.
The only way they could get me on was in the under 1.85m height restriction - I had to plump for it quick when the telesales lad last night suggested dropping the suspension - I just said yes as they were closing the office two mins later.
Woke up this morning and have realised that I have the bigger tyres on (255/55/20's as opposed to standard 255/50/20's) so the heights are all over the place as it is.
As you can imagine it's chaos here right now in the circumstances.
I have my IID BT tool but aside from checking fault codes I haven't used it in anger (remembering the thread about "breaking" a gearbox by re-adapting it)
Anyone got any thoughts as to what I should/could do?

Many thanks 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted

Maximum height at access is 1.83m. If you drop it down and lock it in access mode it should be ok, the difference in height of the tyres won't be that much, you could always deflate the tyres and reinflate at the BP on the other side? Discovery 4 HSE

just drive into the 'over 1.83' lane and you will probably find that eurotunnel wont make a fuss and will let you stay there..

hope you get better and that elbow doesnt spoil your break.. ... - .- -.

Thanks so far.
Checked tyres on an online calculator, height increased by 13mm so its very touch and go.
Over 1.83 lane not an option - I already got warned about that last night by the lad who probably got the sack for putting me through when he shouldnt!! 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted

When I went in the lower carriage in March I had mine in Access height on std tyres but there was still a good few inches room above the roof aerial which is the highest point.

I had a photo too but think I deleted it, let me check on my phone....

Nope, sorry its gone now.

I think you'll be ok. Discovery 4 HSE

Can you not use the IID Tool to deflate all the airbags and take the suspension right down to the bump stops. Then it should hopefully be under the 1.85m limit. Once on the other side you can use the IID to reinflate the bags to normal.

Rather than deflating the bags it would be quicker and easier on the pump just to lower the suspension all round by the maximum which is 30 whatevers ( the tool never specifies if it is mm) and at the other side simply go to restore settings and restore your original settings . 2008 MY Supercharged

As said above the height will be OK but as STAN says if you go into the over 1.85 lane AFTER checking you will be put in the Large Vehicle carriage (But don't spread the word) Whistle

Remember that old friend... SODS LAW!!! If you mess with the suspension settings on iid you'll bring up a fault etc... Rolling Eyes

Simply put it in locked low and if you can, go in the higher lane... Eurotunnel staff are there to help you sir, not let you wreck your car to be pedantic!

As Stan said, follow the right height lane Thumbs Up

had an argument with a young chap at the folkestone end one time when I was trying to go through the High lane. He was insistent that it would fit in the lower carriage and that I should cross over to the low lane just before the High Kiosk (was in the high lane). He was very insistent......it will fit you NEED to go in this lane now.... you mare making a queue......go this way now.....wouldnt listen to me up until the point i told him, by shouting and swearing that I had booked an Censored high lane ticket that he was a cheeky little Censored and that he should shove the train up his own tunnel...... Whistle Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

A word of caution re booking <1>1.85.
Just completed 4 return journeys, all booked >1.85+car trailer. On every trip my loading card was read by the train manager [barcode zapper thing]. Asking him why he replied that it was to check that your loading card matched your booking. I don't know whether they would make a retrospective charge but the checking is there.

I do trust you guys which is why i came here first!

Overnighting in Mulhouse then back to the drivers seat.
24.3mpg first tankful although 75/90 mins of idling at eurochunnel wont have helped.

Had intended to do journey on super-diseasal to act like a bit of an injector cleaner, both loo stops haven't had it for sale.....Have one injector running diff to the rest, not gonna worry for now.

Now....anyone had any bother with cd player interference? Initially thought it was u/s but its actually playing perfectly, with massive static/interference... 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted
