Does anyone on here own a Ferrari?

I am trying to arrange a special surprise for my son. He has his prom in June and he is a Ferrari nut. I wanted to arrange a lift for him to the prom in a Ferrari.

I would cover any fuel expenses. We are in Bournemouth/Poole.

Many Thanks My Motto: If you are going to have one, have a BIG one!

I own another kind of prancing horse, but on the forum I use for mine there is much discussion about prom use and insurance and Police inspectors present.

Not wishing to pee on your chips, but you may find this rather difficult to arrange.

I sincerely hope you do manage it, but it's unfortunately and frustratingly not as clear-cut as just popping out for a drive on an evening with a passenger. Si. <This is my name.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a prom in this context? I'm guessing something child specific, but not having children its a world which means very little to me.

He is leaving his school after doing his GCSE's, so they have a prom, its another Censored American import Evil or Very Mad , we just threw flour and eggs in my day Laughing .

So a prom is a posh disco/dance, everyone goes in suits and posh frocks, and arrive by various means of exotic transport.
They now even do them when you child leaves primary school!!

And some even when the leave nursery/pre-school Shocked My Motto: If you are going to have one, have a BIG one!

Well You live and learn. When I finished school after O levels, all my mates and me stuffed our books into our blazers and set light to them on the playing field. No end of school disco. Why do we have to import such naff Americana?? Don't even get me started on Fathers Day, which didn't exist when I was a nipper. Another American inventio we appear to have adopted.

Good for you 'cad'.
As a head of Year 11 for a number of years I've seen them arrive at proms in ice cream vans, Mark 2 jags, Lotus Exiges, on rag and bone carts and on mobility scooters. No Ferraris as yet though. Hope your son has a great night Thumbs Up

Not quite an evening - it's basically a one way mini-cab ride.

Mine were both happy to be taken in the FFRR - for my daughters I roped in my mate who also had a black one & we took 6 of her mates - we pulled up side by side & got out chauffeur style to open their doors.

Primary school 'proms' are all the thing now. Here's my lad 2 years back at his primary school prom. Bear in mind he's from an era of Playstation's and as much as he loves his supercars my mates 900bhp GTR was what he really, really wanted to arrive in Thumbs Up

Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
