I agree with Stan, disconnect and still put a trickle charger, one that keeps the battery in good shape.

The car is being left outside but I don't fancy the idea of a long cable across the driveway connected to an electrical point inside the house. I like idea of disconnecting the battery and a couple of wooden blocks under the suspension arms.

I have a ctek charger and the various connections. I shall probably remove the battery completely and connect it to the ctek via a socket in an outbuilding. I'm just not happy having the battery in the car whilst connected to a live socket I have no control over for 12 weeks. Travelling around in circles again. |

If it is left outside, consider a Solar powered trickle charger. Previous cars:

Based upon all of your advice I shall remove the battery completely and connect it up to my ctek. I will also put wooden blocks under the suspension arms.
