I can confirm the transmission did hold up and it was in low range as it was me driving my old RR Very Happy. It suprised me how well it did, it doesn't really show it on the video but its also on an incline.

Also another advert for LR, the blue lights were from a paramedics Disco, he literally rammed it through the overgrowth on the verge to get round the blocked road.

PS
If you ever see an M&S wagon stuck, leave it. Driver took my details after and said that M&S would send some vouchers but the Censored never sent a thing. Current

We knew a Motorway Traffic cop some while ago and he was telling us about an incident on the M6 around Birmingham where a car had slip down an embankment in the snow and a passing motorist in a Mitsubishi Shogun had tried to pull him out and also slid part way down the slope.
The traffic cops were in their Classic Range Rover, hitched a rope onto the Mitsubishi and towed BOTH cars back onto the carriageway!!

Apparently the driver of the (brand new) Shogun said he was taking it back to the dealers and was going to change it for a Range Rover!

The transmission will be fine - traction will fail long before the gearbox on snow and ice. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Great advert for the Fattie, but I very much doubt the truck was anywhere near 40 tons. Most high street chains are plated upto 32 ton tops. 2004 vogue

I have pulled 2 or 3, 5 tonne diggers that had been bogged down out of fields. I was on tarmac and the FF danced around but always got them out, gearbox fine (so far) only been stuck once when the classic had to recover it from mud, my fault Thumbs Up
