Another good idea especially for any townies out there. If you happen to own a pair of dubarry's or wellies. Keep them in the boot in a wellie bag. You never know when you will have to slip off your winkle pickers to dig yourself out. !

Another good thing is to keep some mars bars or space food in the boot, and for you smokers a pack of 20 and a lighter.

i once had to sleep in my car on the M62 a few years ago. !

Dan I am not into promoting brands lol... there are many a better brand of wellies out there im sure.... I have red hunters! But just so we stay impartial...i dont want anyone to get upset...

Try putting some handwarmers and a pair of gloves in the bag pockets too ! !

If youre really posh....(cough cough) Then why not include a carnopy in there i have one in my boot.. Fits over the back of the car to provide an awning like shelter just in case you need shelter out of the car !

Wet kit....
Some food (camping boil in the bag stuff is good, can be eaten cold)
Sturdy footwear.

Could go on for ages, but would need permanent trailer attached to carry it all!

Reminds me of when we had really bad snow (for Essex ) a few years ago.

I got out my Defender 90, all the recovery gear, front and back demountable winch...




Then got stuck behind a Ford Fiesta at 20mph all the way into work on the A12.
