I found it as tedious to watch as the last few series of the previous bunch.
Nothing at all new & most disappoingly, no change from the old.
Can't quite work out who they think the target audience is, but it's not me !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Yes, not inspiring at all nor engaging. I thought the Gordon Ramsey bit was cringeworthy and the chemistry was .................ummmmm............somewhere else. Shame really as whilst I'm not a 'massive' fan of Chris Evans, I do like his breakfast show and clearly he is hugely successful .................but perhaps Top Gear was too much of a hard task to continue to produce. I feel that Amazon Prime may get a few more subscribers than they originally thought.

I'll give it another go next week but if it continues then I won't be 'rushing' to get home to watch it, or accessing iPlayer!

regards

John

P.S. Not too sure about the legalities of Matt Le Blanc being on the back of a recovery truck, no matter how far they travelled.............. Shocked

Why did Evans shout so much? Confused

'Cos he's a naturally mouthy tw4t. Exactly the same on Radio 2, so much so that I have to keep messing with the volume, one second he talks normally, the next he's back to shouting again. Up, down, up, down, my volume level has more ups and downs than a bride's nightie trying to listen to him.

The main reason I changed to Radio 4 for the commute. Sadly there are no independent stations that provide reception all the way.

I've just watched Top Gear Extra and that is much better - a big improvement.

Watch that and decide if they need to swap presenters over..... Whistle 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

When it's analysed on viewing figures alone, it was a hit. It was the second most-watched TV programme of the evening next to Countryfile.

However, in my view, that's giving it unfair praise.

I watched it all and had to conclude that, much as I don't wish to be a hater, I grew very tired of Evans' constant audience cajoling to applaud at absolutely everything like a cheap American talk show. I found his shouty demeanour over the top and needless and the features themselves a poor shadow of what preceeded them with C, M & H.

The rallycross bit was rather lame, in my view, too. And that Porsche vs LaFerrari comparison, just for Gordon Ramsay to show off, was pointless as the American guest's Porsche connection was fabricated.

I do hope they improve for the second episode. I admit to being a diehard C, M & H fan and am trying hard to be impartial. Si. <This is my name.

I always thought Clarkson a kn0b and Top Gear "stunts" asinine and childish- which is why i stopped watching long ago. However I did watch episode 1 to give the new team a chance, i did like Sabine, could get to like Matt but Chris Evans is worse than Clarkson so I guess i'll stick to , Car SOS, Wheeler Dealers and Fifth Gear as they seem to contain more information compared to Top Gear which is pure entertainment (for some). Very Happy Geoff

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Baltic Blue

Watched last night on catch up. An hour of my life I wont get back!!.

When it finished we all just looked at each other and that said it all. No chemistry between the two chaps and an audience who acted like a well trained bunch of monkeys - its TG for fsake not TFI Friday.

I was hoping it would actually contain some good stuff about decent cars - that totalled about 20% of the hour.

I'm only gonna watch next week cuz Ginge mentioned the FPace, if he hadn't I doubt I would be bothering.

Still not gonna but Amazon Prime though just to watch caravan conkers. Total Cr*p. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

2000 Disco TD5 ES Epsom Green
98 P38 Rioja Red

Quite agree it was a good watch and the fact that the presenters were new and not trying too hard made it a relaxed and very enjoyable watch.

Maybe this should be the main show...

(Watch it online)
