Fleebay rear camera replacement FFRR

Chaps Thumbs Up
Would one of you kind fellows give me a flyby item number or link of a replacement rear view camera?
I've read the WIKI on the FFRR MY2006 rear cam repair and the link to the £13 camera has obviously ended and I'm not so sure about which one to choose? some now look angled which won't work!!

Sorry, no luck getting it working, I managed to strip it all down and could see an easy fit getting the new camera glued inside the original rear camera casing but failed miserably on the wiring, even tho its only 4 wires I could not get it to work.

I bought one the same as item eBay Item No. 141918317810 and the end part unscrews allowing the metal ring to be removed.

I then used small snips and a file until all of the lip was removed meaning the camera was the same diameter all the way along. This then fits perfectly into the housing.

The wiring requires a bit of soldering. The red and black wires on the original loom are positive and negative and the other is the video coax. If you snip it close to the original plug that goes into the old camera pub then you can solder it to the wires supplied in the kit. Use a multimeter to determine the centre wire on the original plug and solder that to the centre wire on the yellow plug the remaining one is the negative for the yellow plug.

Before assembling the camera, test it and make sure the camera is orientated in the holder correctly i.e the picture is not upside down then put everything back together. I chose not to seal the camera holder up but ended up with condensation in the holder.

I'm also not happy with the guide lines as they look funny when you put it in reverse as the picture is zommed when you stick it in reverse which looks funny. Mine is also pointing too much downwards so I have bought a new camera without the guidelines and I'll be taking it apart in the next few weeks again.

I can take loads of photos when I do it if this helps.

I'm working offshore for another week but if you take a photo of the stripped wires on the original loom, I can mark them up for you.
