Yes, the door will unlock when I use the key in the lock.

So, from that I'm reasoning that : 1. The actuators work 2. The additional Hall sensors for the key work 3. So, it's the Hall sensor in the latch not always reporting the door status correctly. Which could be the sensor or wiring. I'd start with the loom from the door to the pillar. Ian |

There are a bunch of wires going between the door and the rest of the car. These can get pinched or chafed. This is true on many cars, not just ours! They usually are run in a flexible tube, take a look and you should see it. I've not had to check mine, but I'd expect to need to remove the door trim panel to look. Maybe someone else can chip in on that.
