I just got an iCarsoft tool for the FF. I'm happy to help read/reset codes for anyone who wants to come by. I'm in Hertfordshire. It's not an IID tool, but may help someone avoid paying for simple jobs!

Another issue would be the knowledge to use someone else's IID. There's always a number of meaningless fault codes in there, even when everything is working properly. If you're just borrowing it for 5 min, it would be difficult to find the important errors amongst the unimportant ones.

ive bought a secondhand britpart iid tool (non BT). its just the matchbox unit, no leads. it was an l322 and then a sport id was added. will it still work on l322? and what do I need to connect it. -I bought it secondhand, and have not yet had chance to read up on the operation etc. thanks. ^^^ That is a question for GAP don't you think , but I think BMW based L322's are different and the tool isn't compatible . 2008 MY Supercharged

Not sure if it will work. The non-BT has very little memory. I thought it has enough for only one model. But if you're switching and paying Gap for a new user, I'm pretty sure they can help you. The speed and accuracy of their customer service is some of the best I've seen. Anywhere. Ever.
