seven seat removal

Hi Everybody!
I have a couple of extra seats ( child sized ) in the boot of my L322. They fold down into a 'flat pan' which has the same coloured carpet as the boot, so I would presume its a RR 'extra', but I don't know really. Anyway!! My problem is that I can't find any way of lifting/removing this ( heavy ) pan and additional seats to get to my spare wheel compartment or , if I have one, my locking nut adaptor. I have posted a couple of pics.
Any help would be great, Cheers!

Nice design but not from Land Rover, they are totally bespoke. Over finch used to do something similar.

Your best bet is to google Range Rover third row or seven seat conversions and find the company that does the same design.

They have to come out one way or another. Discovery 4 HSE

They were produced by a company called Logic 7 seats sir... They went bust years ago because those sets were sooooo expensive Rolling Eyes

To lift for the spare wheel you need to undo the alan key bolt holding down the front tie down's... Thumbs Up

Will need two of you to lift it though Thud

Handy that Craig, in the pee-ing rain, on the hard shoulder, with the Mother-in-Law looking on in scorn. Rolling with laughter

Thank you VERY much for your comments. I had searched but had not found anything like the info you lads have supplied! I like the mum-in-law comment as much as I like all of the pics of the cream interior RR too.
Thanks a lot, I will give it a go now... later ! Smile 'Knowledge Is Power'

sorted..nearly

Cheers lads. Yep! Quite right, undo the chrome 'hanger bolts' and with huge strength, lift the seat pan upwards... and there is was, my spare wheel. Alas, no wheel nut adaptor. ... But, at least I know how to get at my spare out now, ask the AA man to do it!! Razz 'Knowledge Is Power'

Noticed my blog getting lots of hits

Hello, I know it has been a while since this post was raised but I have just been looking at the stats on a blog I wrote to sell my Seven Seat conversion on a certain auction site and I noticed that some of the hits have come from this topic , so I just thought I would drop in to say Hi . The Link posted by Alistair is to my blog and the vehicle is actually my 2005 4.4 V8 petrol Vogue

https://7seat.wordpress.com/

I too found it very difficult to lift the seats to get to the spare wheel, despite being quite a reasonably strong bloke it was a real struggle to lift them. I remember weighing them on our bathroom scales and I think they were about 7 stones in weight if memory serves me correctly. They are held up by flimsy metal arms when in the "raised" position which always feels a bit dodgy. To do it safely requires two people to lift them.

They are incredibly well made, and it was interesting to read Cam-Tech-Craigs comments about the original manufacturer being Logic 7 , which I had no idea, so thanks for the info.

Not having any need for them , I removed them and fitted a standard boot floor in the matching "sand" colour . Being lighter in weight makes life so much easier with the standard floor. They also prevent access to the little floor cubby boxes when in place, which I now am able to use for my tow rope and tools. Keeps the boot much tidier.

I did advertise them briefly but they did not sell, which I am not too worried about so I thought I would keep them in case any of my grown up kids start producing Grand Children.

They are currently wrapped in cardboard and dry stored for future use.

Cheers

Nigel Its big , its black and we call it THE BEAST !
