They look new but presumably not quite so expensive. |

The tyres are 265/60/18s. Which was the size I was leaning toward if ever I could get a set of these. The size appealed to me as its fitted to a lot of Toyotas and so more readily available. It also fits in the wheel well. While the size is right for me, I would have bought a different tyre with a higher load rating. These Coopers only have 110 load rating. My chinese cheap and cheerful HT 255/55/19s have 111 load rating. They have been a good tyre so far.

A load rating of 110 translates to 1060Kg, whereas your 'cheap & cheerful' tyres are rated to 1090 Kg - not much difference!

Thanks spooky. The tyre load rating exceeds that of the rim, so quite ok. I was more using the rating as a rough guide for side wall strength. I'm hoping the coopers, being ATs, will be stronger.

The little ad rating of the standard 20" is 109 so make of that what you will. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The bigger the wheel the shorter the tyre wall, and so a need for more flexible the tyre side wall (assuming overall wheel size is kept approx constant) to absorb road impact. The consequence of a thinner more flexible tyre wall is lower load rating on the tyre.

Finally got to fit them after hassles with locking and standard nuts.
