i would replace Si.....if you're fitting new pads then the extra effort and expense to fit new discs is certainly worth it... ... - .- -.

What Stan says... with brakes, steering and suspension I always err on the side of "if in doubt, change it"

I think I change discs every 2-3 sets of pads as it's only a couple of hundred quid so would always err on the side of caution if changing the pads anyway |

The workshop manual will give a minimum thickness that they don't recommend going below, so technically it is not a subjective matter, yours look like they will be very close to the minimum, especially the fronts. Most mechanics will give you advice based on looks as opposed to the actual measurement, both you have spoken to are correct, you could get away with another set of pads without issue, but the discs could do with replacing... sounds weird but true.... Nothing wrong with asking for a second opinion, either on here or at another garage...

Si, it might be worth mentioning that using aftermarket pads might give you problems as i did..changed my pads to OE from ducky dan and all is well.. ... - .- -.
