Hi chaps, was wondering if any of you have fitted one of those active under seat active subwoofers, and are they any good? Only I need to improve the bass in the other car, to try and get it somewhere near the ffrr standards |

Blaupunkt used to do a few and Boston acoustics years ago that were well rated and some Citroens and pugs use the same kind of unit shoved into a corner of their boots.

I've been looking at Kenwood and Pioneer units, both are only 3.5" high and small enough to go under the passenger seat without any clearance issues, just was a bit worried that they might turnout to be a ting box rather than deep bass.... I suppose that I'll just have to try and cop a S/H unit to try... that way I wouldn't take a hit if it turns out not to be all it promised, and I ditch it on the Bay of Fleas.

The only issue with that is I don't have the space available to build it in with a half decent sized enclosure... so I reckon that it will sound a bit pants |

The link is to a Focal unit which is popular in the M-B Vito circles. I had my preferred ICE specialist lined up to upgrade the door speakers with Focal, soundproofing and the 10" Inteli- sub but am selling the V6 soon so shelving the idea.

I have a cunning plan, how much space do you have under the dash in the passenger side as you could use a sub I made years ago which will increase bass but take up little space plus if you enjoy making things this is fairly easy
