OK, had this checked once by a local garage a while back and they said all was ok but I am not convinced.

The front discs and pads were very recently replaced with genuine so doubt it is that. Car has done 82k now.

It depends how bad the play is. I could see the play in my lower ball joints on my old one with the car on the floor. Also should be able to see the track rods with a wiggle.

I've had wheel wobble from a sticking rear caliper and a partially deflated tyre with a slow leak - but not from worn bushes (they just squeaked over every bump). You haven't lost a balancing weight?

I had a similar symptom on an E38 7 series which has a very similar suspension set up (E38->E53->L322). It's a common problem on them and is usually due to soft traction links. Item five on this diagram.

Was the wobble present before the brakes were changed? and did the wobble appear just after the brakes were changed..... it only takes a bit of dirt under the disc and the car will be all over the place and then you can get discs that wobbly straight from the box..... just because it says Genuine doesn't mean that it's 100%, the odd miss shaped one can get through, it could be a wheel balance thing.... normally when it's a suspension / steering component the car wanders full stop, not just under braking Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I have the same problem and checked the balljoints and track rod ends for play and they seem to be ok. The bushes on the upper suspension arm do look a bit soft so I'm going to replace them and see if it solves the problem. I took the wheels off and rotated the discs to see if I could see whether there was a warp or not assuming I would see them move in and out against the brake pads but all look fine. I only have the RRFF since November and there were new pads on it when I bought it so it could possibly be the pads. Declan

I think you would more likely get a wobble while driving from bad tyres / balance issue rather than only when breaking. Incidently, I have all new tyres on mine. Declan

Are but under braking you transfer at least 70% of the cars weight / inertia to the front wheels, more under an emergency situation So the slightest imperfection can be amplified Could even be grease on the discs Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Replaced the suspension arm bushes this morning which were fairly shot and delighted to say all wheel wobble on breaking has disappeared.

Local garage (not LR specialists) had it on the ramps today and rang me right at the end of the day to say they finally found the source of the wobble.

Would get it to an Indy or LR garage, and get them to have a look. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
