^^ Correct Very Happy Use of the IID tool is coding, and as such L/R will charge you an hour to do it Shocked

It is a strong selling point for the GapIID tool, as it has the potential to save you thousands of quids in diagnostic fees Thumbs Up

I still can't fathom out why they changed from the earlier setup..... it worked well for 7 years Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

If you can live with the parking sensors and fog lights on the car being active it is plug and play.
On the Disco3/4 and RRS the tow electrics need activated to provide power to the socket. None of the trailer lights on them cars work without activation.

The early L322 FFRR was fully activated from factory so yes completely plug and play.

Sure there are a few guys with multi licence iid that can fully activate all trailer functions if needed
