I used 1:30 mix of Autoglym Car Conditioning shampoo in a squirty bottle as a lube, works really, really well. See the sheen!!!

Bought one of these Farecla mitts today. If it's good enough for alanm, it's good enough for me.

Car washed now so might lube some panels up and try the mitt tomorrow (chap in Halfords was raving about them too, saying he's done his full car 4 times and it's still going strong)

you only lube the mitt and panel when you're using it, not in advance!

Just make a very soapy bucket of suds (I use Megs Gold class) and dunk it in that, then go over each panel, wiping first on the soft side to lube the paint, then the clay side. Discovery 4 HSE
