Contacted the seller and they said the discs are genuine and not copies and I said my disc was blank not printed and they said that's how they come from the factory.

there is no LR support for post 2012, so they can't be genuine LR discs. There is a whole thread out there where some members have tried to get latter discs made to no avail. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

i can assure you this is the latest disc, sat nav discs for these systems normaly work on a 2 year cycle, i have never had any issues before with this kind of situation and its probably an isolated road that will be on the next version, maybe 2016-2017, i only sell the items i am not the map creator etc so i cannot confirm every road etc, i do agree with you that the tom toms can be slighlty better than some of these build in sat navs.The data collected on the disc is the period 2014-2015 so all data is current for that period, But be rest assured this is the most up to date version and if you insert the disc into a pc for example you will see the database version also confirms that period of being compiled, the problem with certain new roads when they are built the local councils etc who submit data that gets passed onto certain compaines and some get them quicker than other depending on certain licences and contracts. then with all the legal obligations and paperwork this can take time and some sat nav compainies may get the information from certian areas quicker than others and normaly when a new road is built its about 1 year later before it appears on gps systems and maps on the internet, if the road was built in a period of time between 2014-15 when the map comapny were collecting information if may just have missed being added. But like i said this is the very latest and your car does have the most upto date disc inserted there is no newer version available anywhere as of present.

? I am very confused, no this is NOT a fake disc atall, and im realy unsure how you have come to that conclusion. The disc is the latest 2014-2015 available, like i said im just a seller. This is not a fake disc that is just the same as your old one i cant see any sense in why anyone would do that that would be madness. The disc is the latest for that system guaranteed


Also i got this in about an hour ago, its one of the last Landrover denso versions before they packed in production, (your 2014-2015 disc is another company as they took over production after 2012)

ive just sent you some pics of another 2012 one i got in today, this is one of the last availbale made my the denso land rover corperation before future contract went elsewhere, obviously most cars these days have sd cards instead so alot of companies give up with the old technology and move on. Landrover themselves did not want to support this system any longer hence why its a different company, and doesnt look the same as your 2009 disc but i can assure you this is Genuine and you wont find one looking like your old disc past 2012 as they stopped them, you might find some idiots on ebay flogging printed ones on purple blank discs but i would personaly not touch those home made things as they may damage your unit with the cheap quality. i did not send you a blank disc thats for sure so unless you have purchased another from someone else aswel and got mixed up then it was not from myself, ill attach a picture of the disc that should have been sent to you, I pride myself in aftersales care so i want you to be happy with the item/s and i will answer any questions as best as possible. Apart from it not being a fake - all the rest is pretty accurate.

IMHO - fake means not a genuine LR product - so it's a fake.

But he is correct that LR seemed to abandon older models and not produce new versions - but the reason is that DVD's are too easily copied so they couldn't sell enough genuine ones to make it worth their while.....

Maybe ask him to define what Genuine and Fake mean too him
