Wiring diagram help!!

Ok so I followed a tip to jump the battery when the RR was locked and would open by jumping through the side repeater light, this caused it to short out and melt.

I now need to replace the wire and am looking at the wiring diagram on RR_L322_Electric_Circuit_Diagrams_2001_UK:-

Now the wire is denoted as UY 0.5 or N 0.5 which I totally understand is Blue Yellow for +ve and Brown for Earth/-ve

HOWEVER what do the numbers after the wire colour mean - what does 0.5 mean?? it doesn't explain this anywhere on the booklets - I'm a novice but I cannot decipher it!!

Thank you

Olly
