I used my xs twice on my mates v8 4-4 diesel last week as he had a knackered battery which lost every it of power in the battery and it started it easily when boost pressed on cable connector pretty impressed again with it 12 months on and used it to help many people from corsas to full fat v8's and only charged once at the start still showing three LEDs out of five can't fault it best charger in 30 odd years in the trade for me 👍😎 _____________________________________________________

OK - you guys finally convinced me Wink

I've just ordered a FLOUREON T3 from Amazon - with a small tyre compressor for £55

I bought it as a useful addition to the boot that I hope I never have to use - but worthwhile if I have to jump start anyone else - which I seem to do at least annually. I've never had a problem, but I know others warn never to do it, so for £55 and not much space/weight, it seems like the sensible thing to do Thumbs Up

It will also provide some peace of mind when leaving the FFRR parked up at airports etc.

I already have Anderson connectors on all our cars, so hoping that the ones on the Floureon are the same size

well tried starting my mates 3.6 tdv8 with no battery connected using the Floureon T3 18,000 mAh unit
engine was cold, whilst it turned the engine over it would not start Big Cry unlike the youtube videos showed ! - the connection leads got extremely hot

so the assumption is that the unit is useful for boosting a slightly iffy battery but no good for a completely flat battery
so hopefully will resolve any flat battery issues when away from home various other LR's this one is still the best

Gents,

I have one of these and they are really good but you must make sure that they are recharged after every use as a single use will deplete the pack so that trying to start another car a few days later will end in choice language bring used and egg on your face if you've told your mates to "Watch this"............! Laughing

regards

John

If you have to recharge every use its faulty, charged mine once 10 months ago and still got three LEDs on and used it about a dozen times Thumbs Up _____________________________________________________

Well, my Floureon was waiting for me when I got home.

I'm not surprised the cables got hot - I can't believe how thin they are Shocked

The anderson connectors are the 50A ones Shocked I'll take some pictures tomorrow alongside my jump leads.

If I remember in the morning, I'll put the lights on for my Mini & see if it will start that in the evening - I'm quite keen to give it a little test, but don't want to start playing around with the FFRR battery.

If I had seen it in advance, then I would be back in sceptic mode & would not have completed the purchase, but it's here. so I will give it a go Thumbs Up
