my rear heater is only giving out hot air , the front seems to be fine and the fan speed control seems to work fine i just cant vary the temp at all , could it be the switch or the blend motor? thanks for any help, mark.

I quote,

"On high line heater assemblies, a blend flap is installed for the rear passenger face level outlet to allow the
temperature of rear face level air to be adjusted independently from the temperatures selected on the control panel.
The blend flap is driven by a stepper motor controlled by a thumbwheel on the rear passenger face vent. The blend
flap is also used to close off the rear face level outlet when maximum air output is required for the front outlets, e.g.
when defrost is selected."

yes i saw but didnt want to clutter up your thread,
if you have a read of this you might understand it a bit better i think my heat control switch has failed but was hoping someone may confirm my diagnoses, http://workshop-manuals.com/landrover/l322...ntilation/

after re reading nicedayforits post, i set the rear fan to its highest setting and then turned the front heater to defrost, immediately the rear heater shut down so this indicates the heat control switch to be the problem as the blend flap is working
thanks once again nicedayforit
