SC cars are cheaper to buy but more to fuel, expect 16mpg from the 4.2 SC and 18mpg from the 5.0SC.

SC is cheaper and a lot more powerful than the 3.6 v8 diesel. MPG is lower but not much in the real world, maybe 4 or 5 mpg more for the oil burner, but then a lot of reported issues with turbos and ego valves. |

I tested both and can vouch for the 8 speed 4.4 TDV8 and Craig's mpg #'s, in fact I had a conversation with him when he first bought his and what he now describes is exactly what I said to him at the time.... the 4.4 TDV8 is brilliant but it's the 8 speed box that really makes the package work so well.
