Not around these parts used to hit loads of birds in my jeep on the way to work on the country roads at least 3 a week.

Chance of a jet engine getting hit by a bird is millions to one but they still design them to withstand a strike.

^ thats because its a life or death situation Rolling Eyes ...

car manufactures are not going to re-design headlights because of the small amount of 'bird hits'......the biggest problems with birds the general motorist has is the poo that they leave on your nicely just cleaned car... ... - .- -.

They are designed to NOT KILL pedestrians... Specifically children's heads! Thats why birds can smash them, as can parts of pedestrians instead of bouncing off causing compression injuries! And i know plenty of you are now going to say "how does that help with 2.5tonne of car"

every little helps!!!

seeing as the RR has a zero for pedestrian safety a guess anything would help.

have to be a funny shaped head to hit the headlight the bumper would hit the shoulder first
