Fuel gauge, restricted performance

Hi guys been having an issue with my fuel gauge reading zero when it is full, seems to start to work again after putting a couple of hundred miles on then if i leave the car for any time goes back to reading zero again this is been happening for a couple of months, but now i am getting a restricted performance message even without starting the car just with the ignition on, i have plugged my iid tool in and its giving me 2 error codesP0480-11(2F) and P138F-22(6C), anyone got any ideas?? i have tried a battery reset procedure but still the same. I have a trip from Aberdeen to Nottingham next week and a bit nervous about driving the car, your help would be greatly appreciated.

If the codes don't have descriptions with them, email Gap and they will tell you what they mean... Pete

A guess at both without any further info.....

Fuel gauge - faulty sender unit (corroded connections) - LR have a recommended 'fix' that costs circa £200 unless you have warranty.

Restricted performance - could be lots of things, but common is water in fuel caused by faulty sensor that requires a new housing replacement.

Needs codes/description though to confirm.

Thumbs Up

Thanks i will check that out regarding fuel sender, these are the code definitions from Pat at GAP
P0480 = Fan 1 control circuit.
P138F = Turbocharger boost control position sensor B minimum/maximum stop performance.
