L322 door electrics not working

Hi folks

I need some help! The external door release cable on my 2004 Range Rover L322 snapped, so I took the door card off and replaced it. All went well until I reconnected everything, and now none of the electrics work apart from the driver's door window. The "door open" fault appears on the dash, and the central locking doesn't work on the driver's door but does on the other doors. The mirror fold and adjustment isn't working, but the suspension lowering button does work. the light on the child safety button for the rear windows lights is on and turns off.

I did leave the electrics disconnected for a couple of days whilst I waited for the new cable to arrive.

Has something reset itself? I have a IID tool and cleared all the faults I could find, but still nothing has changed.

Has this happened to anyone else, or anything similar, and if so can you please help me to find a solution?

Many thanks Smile

+1 stan, many threads about this, I had to do mine at least three times.
Just unplug and replug, make sure you seat the plugs in properly, and you should be okay.
Thumbs Up

Thanks guys I'll have another go - I did disconnect and then reconnect once but in a bit of a rush as I was needing to get back to work. I'll have another go when I have an hour to spare. I did check out a few threads from various forums, and every answer was different! BeCM faulty, flat battery, frayed wires, faulty door connector, corrosion etc. etc. etc. That's why I thought I'd post here to try and get a sensible consensus Very Happy

Hi nubbin, you don't have to unplug all the electrical connectors.
I did the same when my door cable snapped, if you remove door card, unplug the puddle lamp at the bottom, then stand the door card in the door way of the car. Tip the left hand side up slightly and it will wedge in their.
I know it doesn't help you now but just for future reference.
I had my door card off last week, as the black door button hadn't been going down, found out that it was a clip on the underside pushing on the damn thing, been like it for 6 months. Now sorted. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the tip - this is the second time I've had to replace the cable, the car is starting to feel it's age - I'm interested in getting an L405 new version RR, but even second hand they're still north of £50k, and as a tight Yorkshireman, I don't like dropping that kind of cash and watching depreciation eat my hard-earned!
