you've probably reconnected the plug wrongly or not fully seated them, i've done this myself ....i'd whip the card off and have a look.. ... - .- -.

Thanks guys I'll have another go - I did disconnect and then reconnect once but in a bit of a rush as I was needing to get back to work. I'll have another go when I have an hour to spare. I did check out a few threads from various forums, and every answer was different! BeCM faulty, flat battery, frayed wires, faulty door connector, corrosion etc. etc. etc. That's why I thought I'd post here to try and get a sensible consensus |

Hi nubbin, you don't have to unplug all the electrical connectors.

Thanks for the tip - this is the second time I've had to replace the cable, the car is starting to feel it's age - I'm interested in getting an L405 new version RR, but even second hand they're still north of £50k, and as a tight Yorkshireman, I don't like dropping that kind of cash and watching depreciation eat my hard-earned! |
