I have nearly 250,000km on my tdv8 L322. It is running like a dream. No mechanical issues at all. I use an induction cleaner (Revive) to help reduce the risk of turbo, manifold or EGR blockages, and have it serviced every 10,000km. It has a great service history. Revive seems to improve the performance of the motor so I'm confident its doing something good.

Ive had to replace the transmission and the alternator in the last 6 months. So the other half is loosing confidence in the car due to the last two mechanical issues. Im very happy to keep it. We have another road trip coming up and I don't want to have to order another long hall tow home like happened last holidays. Hence the reason for my question and poll.

The EGR question is coming up a bit lately which has prompted my question. I know other stuff can fail with age. I at least now have an BT IID took to help diagnose faults.

I also know there's no right or wrong answer, just owners experience and opinions. However, feedback is appreciated. Thanks. ______________________________

It has been done and BAS now list an IID EGR patch for the TDV8 FFRR and RRS.  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

thanks for the replies everyone. The resounding feedback was stick to current maintenance schedule.

I just had the service done including induction treatment. It always runs smoother and quieter after a service. Im not sure if its the result of new oil or the induction treatment.

After the service I took off the 90 degree intake hose feeding the intake manifold to see how effective the induction cleaner is at this point of the system. I was disappointed to see the hose and manifold had a fair bit of black goo on the inside walls. ______________________________

It seems the Aussie L322s don't have a DPF. I contacted BAS who indicated they don't have an EGR map out for my car yet. ______________________________
