After a former life of driving Audi's (A4, A6 2.5tdi, S6 4.2V8, A5 3.0tdi), I was introduced to Land Rover after buying a 2004 Discovery 2 4.6 v8i NAS, it was the best and most fun vehicle I ever owned to drive. Wheter it was getting stuck on rocky trails around Sedona AZ, going to the golfcourse in Scottsdale or just motoring about the endless miles of highway in Arizona and California it kept amazing me with style, ability and likability... Another acute case of the Landie-virus.
Fast forward to a new job in a new place and the only choice was Land Rover.
Had my mind set on a D4 but when I saw this Java black Vogue SE with Ivory seats I knew I wanted it. So got myself a small bday present last week and joined the club!

Hello everyone from the Canary Islands, Spain, thanks for accepting me. This is my car HSE 2002, I bought two years ago, after a few years looking for this model (learning and reading a lot about it). I bought it with the intercooler, engine and gearbox recently replaced in the official workshop (no proper maintenance, you know). And from there I have gradually replaced all anti roll bar links and silentblock suspensions (front and rear), new battery, complete brake kits, some external aesthetic element, and many small things, and all possible maintenance (luckily my brothers are mechanical LOL). I love and I drive every day!!! Thanks again...

A freind of mine has 2006 Super charged in blue and what a machine it is!

A big petrol engined Range rover would be my choice of LR, but i am still doing too many miles per annum to make it a sensible choice....sometime in the future hopefully.

Hello Folks

I have just got my very first RR and have been trawling the information here... thanks everyone, really helps us newbies in my position to get acquainted with the RR.

This was very much an impulse buy, I have been looking to replace my BMW 525 Estate with a FFRR, after driving a friends... but not yet. However, I had a few minutes to spare last Thursday, and saw an AD on Ebay for a TD6 of the right age, colour, Interior at about 2.5 k less than I expected to spend. Finishing in an hour, so I used goofbid.com and placed the best price I was prepared to spend at this time and won the auction. So yesterday I collected my new purchase and have to say I am delighted.

Hi all,

Just signed up after being a former member of disco3.co.uk and freel2.com, I've finally decided to give up the joys of Freelander 2 ownership and move back into the big, expensive, unreliable leagues again except this time in a hopefully more reliable RR!

I pick the car up later this week but as I already found the first issue on the test drive (a stiff auto box) I thought i'd register right away as i'll probably be needing your guys help in the near future when i'm swearing underneath the thing on my driveway! Other than the stiff box which i'm hoping is this: http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic31656.html as far as i can tell, the vehicle is a lovely example and certainly the best one out of 10+ i've driven over the last couple of months.

Keep your fingers crossed for me and hopefully you all agree that i've made the right move: 06 Disco3 SE --> 07 FL2 HSE --> 09 RR Vogue SE

Thanks stan, appreciate that. I've passed both posts onto the dealer to help them get the linkage cleaned and greased up prior to collection so hopefully i'll have a nice smooth box to drive home with on Thursday!
