I agree - it is a problem that I have been thinking about for some time.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the great info I have read through all the posts and several other threads. I have made the Google search and this Forum my new best friend. I am now more educated than I was a week ago.

There should only be one click as you know and this should occur as soon as you put the key in or near the ignition and this should unlock the steering. Are you getting 3 clicks from the steering column solenoid and the steering still unlocks?

There are quite a few fixes now, i know storey Wilson from RSW Solutions was working on one so you could have a search of that and i posted a solution i found in a magazine at the link below, post #37, i only realised my name went in as holidaychick after i registered as there is maximum name length, and there have been others that i have read, one from black box solutions about drilling a hole and lubricating the solenoid but have a look at the link below first. The main problem to google is 'L322 key won't turn' and there are many threads.
