Hello,please advise, I just had my ff serviced, oil change and brake system flushed, a couple of days after I got the bong, and message, suspension inoperative, abs inoperative and and the suspension locks in drive height, if I switch off and restart the fault is still there but leave it for ten minutes or so and the fault is gone, something else I noticed was the fault seemed to show when I stopped, either at a traffic light or when I got home. The service was done buy a BMW independent so I am wondering if the brake fluid change couldn,t be the cause, cost me an arm and a leg so I wouldn,t want to take it back unless I was sure, any suggestions?? or maybe a quick fix

Take it back. Any problem with the ABS will fault the suspension.

Possible they didn't actuate the ABS when changing the fluid which means air got in there. Or could be your ABS sensor causing the problem (so unrelated to the fluid change) .

Thanks for the quick reply Joe90, the plot thickens, I did the battery reset and set off on a good long ride down the Freeway and round about the new housing estates, no bong, the wife wanted to have a look at the garden at our old house so I turned into the close, it was a tight corner,BONG. This leads me to think it is a steering related problem as I have noticed I only get the fault when I am turning into the garage, ie. going slow and turning sharp. I may be on the wrong track altogether so I will keep looking,

Yep, steering angle sensor will also set everything off too

Yep done that,it is strange because if I leave it for around 5 Min. Then it resets itself and all is active.Is there a sensor or something that I can check?

Get someone with a code reader/scanner and read the live values coming from the steering angle sensor whilst you turn...

You will need a proper one for an FF, not a generic code reader Pete
