Hello all,
I have a 2002 L322 4.4 125,000 miles and its getting close to oil change time
Last time I used Mobil 1 0W/40 but added some 'Wynns Engine Stop Leak' additive, which did seem to dry up the annoying drips a bit.


My questions are;

For the UK weather, as unpredictable as it is, does 0W/40 fit the bill?
Any pros or cons for the Wynns?
Anyone used some of the 'High Mileage' type oils out there?

As usual, I really do appreciate all the advice, so thanks in advance.

5w40 is fine and reccomend so I would give that a try without any snake oil as the thicker cold grade may be better for your leaks as well before the rubber has a change to heat expand FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Wynns engine stop leak is a chemical that makes rubber swell, that's how it seals leaks, problem is after the rubber expands it degrades and rots away....

Stay well clear of it and all the other rubbish sold to stop this and that, they are just a bodge.... if your engine leaks, sort it properly.... Pete
