2010 grill on 2007 is it possible?

I have been having a search and can't find anything about modifying a 2010 grill to fit the 2007 cars so assume it's not possible.

I have seen that powerful do an L405 style one but was wondering if there's anyway to modify a 2010 AB style grill to fit an earlier car rather than doing a full facelift! These seem much more reasonably priced and there is miles more choice! Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is easy. When I bought my 2007MY car car last year the later style grill had been bodged on. I say bodged because the later grill is slightly taller compromising the shut lines above and below the grill. Also the cut outs for the headlights are at a different height which looked dreadful.

I challenged the Indy dealer I bought from who offered a second hand grill from another car. When I collected that car, the original grill was in a box labelled for the new style grill and obviously delivered only a few days before!

So I think I actually got the original grill for the car and the dealer had made an expensive mistake in trying to update the looks. I had a go at "fettling" to make the fit better but ruined it.

I think the aftermarket part is the only solution if you want a later look without a full facelift. Taking a rest from Land Rovers for a bit.......

Thanks for the responses! I am probably the world's worst fettler so no chance of trying that!! Might consider spraying the grey surround on the supercharger grill but haven't seen that done on a Buckingham blue one so not sure if it would look better or worse! Question

your car, so you can do what you want, obviously.

But, I tried all manner of grilles on my 2008, and non of them looked as good as the SC grill which was on it originally, had a black sprayed surround version, the aftermarket 405 version and an aftermarket SC grill as well as the standard vogue grill. The genuine LR SC grill is just a better finish than all of them, the centre is a smoked chrome paint which non of the aftermarket suppliers can match as far as i can tell and as said unless you are really good at bodging (which i have been know to be fairly proficient at over the years) adjusting the 2010 on grills to fit is tricky and involves cutting and plastic welding..... Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks will have a look st a few pics to see if anything looks better! I'm surprised that there are no aftermarket 2010 autobiography style grills for the 2007 model and only the 405 ones! Would have thought they'd shift a few for people not doing a full facelift but want to freshen things up!
